SUMMARY: Stop getting confused when navigating commonly named folders in Explorer with Windows 2000.
Are you commonly manipulating files between directories and get lost in which exact directory you are located? Tired of moving files between drives or network locations and not sure if that "Media" folder you're looking at is on drive C:, drive D:, or a subdirectory of a folder on your CD drive E:? If so, you can force Windows 2000 to display the full folder's path in the title and address bars, including the folder's driver letter.
1. Double-click "My Computer".
2. When "My Computer" opens, click "Tools" then "Folder Options".
3. When the "Folder Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, select the "View" tab.
4. Check "Display the full path in the address bar".
5. Check "Display the full path in title bar".
6. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
