To remove (or add) a speaker icon on the taskbar from where the sound volume can be raised or lowered, choose "Start" - "Settings" - "Control Panel". From here, choose "Sounds and Multimedia". When the "Sounds and Multimedia" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, choose the "Sounds" tab. Now, check or uncheck the "Show volume control on the taskbar" box as desired, and then press "OK". |
