This tip was printed from the MalekTips Computer and Technology Help and Tips website at http://malektips.com. Windows 2000 and Tweak UI - Remove Item from New Documents Submenu
Normally in Windows 2000, if you right-click on the desktop or in a folder, you can select the "New" menu and choose to automatically create new documents of a given file type. You can quickly create new folders, text files, or bitmap images. However, if you have installed many software packages, you may see other items in this menu, such as "New Spreadsheet", "New Presentation", etc. Also, if you don't frequently use the "Briefcase" feature to transfer files between machines, you may not want to see this item, either. If you don't often create new files of these other types, you may wish to remove them from the "New" menu. An easy way to do this is with Tweak UI.
