Speed up the Start Menu SUMMARY: Make your Windows 2000 Start Menu display faster with Tweak UI.
Tired of the Windows 2000 Start Menu menus taking a couple of seconds to display after they are selected? Would you like the menus to display instantaneously? If so, Tweak UI for Windows 2000 is the answer.
After installing and running Tweak UI for Windows 2000 (read the download/installation tip in MalekTips for instructions), click on the "Mouse" tab. Under "Menu Speed", move the slider all the way to the left ("fast"). Then press "OK" to close Tweak UI.
You can make sure this worked by clicking on the "Start" menu and navigating through your Programs. The submenus should appear much faster now.
