Remove Phantom Drives
SUMMARY: Eliminate non-existing drive letters with Tweak UI for Windows 2000.
When using Windows Explorer, have you ever noticed drives appearing in "My Computer" without warning? Some Windows 2000 users have noticed this problem, seeing completely meaningless drives appear for no reason. With Tweak UI you can make these drive letters never appear again.
1. Download, install, and run Tweak UI for Windows 2000 using the tips mentioned in MalekTips.
2. When Tweak UI starts, click the "My Computer" tab.
3. Now, uncheck the boxes next to any drive letters that you do not wish to see in Explorer.
4. Press "OK" to close the dialog box.
Return to the Windows 2000 and Tweak UI page.
