DriveSpace Estimated Compression - Not Even Close Sometimes
SUMMARY: Be careful about what DriveSpace says in Windows 95 - here's why.
Windows 95, if you have installed the DriveSpace options, can show you how much room you will potentially 'gain' by compressing your drives. Take care, as this number is just a very crude estimate. If you have a lot of compressed files on your drive, they will not recompress very well using DriveSpace - if at all.
I do not recommend DriveSpace as the prices of hard drives keep dropping. You may have other ideas.
