Help! Too many Explorer Windows
SUMMARY: Learn how to stop opening so many Explorer windows in Windows 95.
Do you use the Windows 95 Explorer often to open up folders, but find that your screen is cluttered with window upon window of file information? You can force Explorer to use the same window for every new folder that you open. This way, every time you change folders, the current folder window's contents will just be replaced with the newly desired folder's contents.
Here's how to perform this trick. Open up a folder, select "View," and then "Options." On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, make sure the "Folder" tab is selected. Now, if you want to use a single window to show folders, select the bottom option. Likewise, if you want to use multiple folders, try the top option.
