Clear the Clipboard When You're Done!
SUMMARY: Clearing the clipboard when you're done with an application may speed up your Windows 95 computer - here's why.
If you use the Clipboard very often (if you cut, copy, and paste very often), especially when using graphics programs, you may find your system running slower when you are done. This is because Windows 95 uses resources to remember the clipboard information, and if you have a, say, 2 megabyte graphic in your clipboard, your machine may be considerably slower. There is a simple fix. When you€re done using the clipboard, open up a Notepad document, press the space bar, then highlight the space bar and select "Edit - Copy." Now your 2 megabyte clipboard has gone down to one character.
