Put DOS Paths on the Folders
SUMMARY: Here's how to put a full DOS directory path inside the folder title windows in Windows 95.
You can treat Windows 95 one of two ways - as an operating system in its own right, or as simply a GUI layer over DOS. If you're one of the latter types, you might be confused at times where the folders that you open up actually exist on your system. Most Win95 systems are set up to just show the name of the folder itself, and not the entire path that makes up a folder's name. In order to show the full DOS path where a folder resides on the title bar, do the following.
Right-click on the "Start" menu, and select "Explore." Click on the "View" menu of the window that follows, and select "Options." On the tabbed dialog-box which follows, click on the box next to the words "Display the full MS-DOS path in the title bar" to check it. Click on the "OK" button.
