Windows 95 Misc

Stick-On Note Alternative

SUMMARY: Store important information right on your desktop in Windows 95.

Is your desk cluttered with stick-on notes, and you love it so much that you would like your computer desktop the same way? If so, you have probably looked at some of the programs that offer this feature. One cheap alternative for Windows 95 is the following.

First, right-click on an empty area on the desktop, choosing "New," and then "Text Document." Click on the picture of the piece of paper, and press F2. Now you can type just about whatever you wish (as long as it doesn't contain slashes, question marks, etc.). Double-click the file to elaborate on your note which is on the desktop

This may not be the "cleanest" method, but it works, and is free.
