Windows 95 - Explorer - Drives - Folders - Files

Make Explorer Icons Always Small

SUMMARY: Decrease or increase the size of Windows 95 icons.

Do you have so many icons on your Windows 95 desktop that you might as well not be using wallpaper? If so, make the icons smaller. Right-click on an empty area of your desktop (if you can find one!) and then choose "Properties." On the multi-tabbed dialog box that follows, click the "Appearance" tab. Click on the "Item" pull-down and select "Icon." Now you can select the icon's "size." 32 is the default (this means an icon size of 32x32 pixels). Use a smaller size and get more icons onscren simultaneously.

Or, want REALLY large icons? Try 72 for the size. You may wish to click the "Apply" button instead of the "OK" button so you can quickly change the icon sizes back to 32 if desired.
