Make a Virtual Scrapbook
SUMMARY: Here's another way to store useful text and graphic snippets with Windows 95 - create a virtual scrapbook.
Many programs in Win95 allow you to make "scraps" - you can simply drag and drop text or pictures from certain programs straight to the desktop, and then drag the "scrap" to another program. One advantage of scraps over using the clipboard is that scraps are easier to maintain.
If you take advantage of this feature, create a "Scrapbook" folder on your desktop to hold all of your readily-made "scraps." (Right-click on an empty area of the desktop, select "New," then "Folder," and press F2 to rename the folder to "Scrapbook".) You may even want to make a reference to your "Scrapbook" from the "Startup" section of "Programs" off of the "Start" menu. That way, your "Scrapbook" will always be a mouse-click on the taskbar away!
