Force Notepad to Run Full Screen
SUMMARY: Tired of manually expanding the Windows 95 Notepad window?
To force Windows 95 Notepad to run in a full-screen every time it is activated, do the following. First, click on the "Start" menu and choose the "Run" option. Type this in the dialog box which follows (and do include the quotes!): "c:\windows\start menu\accessories" (Substitute the drive letter if appropriate - if Windows is on drive d, use drive d in the "Run" string.)
A folder full of icons should follow. Right-click on "Notepad," and choose "Properties." Click on the "Shortcut" tab on the "Notepad Properties" dialog box that follows. Click on the "Run" pull-down, choosing "Maximized." Click on the "OK" button.
This will work as long as you run "Notepad" from the Start menu.
