Windows 95 Misc
Be Careful with .REG files.
SUMMARY: What are Windows 95 .REG files? Registry files. Here's why you should be careful before clicking them.
Be careful with .REG files when using Windows 95. These are Registry import text files, and double-clicking them does NOT normally bring up Notepad. The default option is Merge, meaning double-clicking such a file will alter your registry. If you need to store such files, do so in a safe place where you will not accidentally double-click such files.
