Make Phantom Drives Disappear
SUMMARY: Remove ghost drives in Windows 95.
For some reason or another, 'phantom' drives can appear under Windows 95 Explorer. Perhaps they were drives that once existed, or perhaps your computer is playing games with you. For whatever reason, if you have such drives, you are more than likely wanting to remove them from your display.
Here is one way to make some of the drives 'disappear.' Download and install TweakUI from the PowerToys set at http://www.microsoft.com. Run the TweakUI control panel and click the "My Computer" tab. Now, just remove the checks from your 'phantom' drives and click OK to close the dialog box.
