Windows 95 General Troubleshooting
View IRQ, DMA, Mem Addresses
SUMMARY: View technical IRQ and DMA information under Windows 95.
To see at a glance what interrupts, memory addresses, ..etc. your computer uses with Windows 95, do the following:
On the desktop, right-mouse click on "My Computer," selecting "Properties." On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, click on the "Device Manager" tab. Click on the "Properties" button ("Computer" should be highlighted - if not, do so).
You can now much easier view the IRQ, DMA, I/O, and memory requirements of your computer and hardware devices. This can come of GREAT aid when you need to find a free IRQ to place a modem, a portable backup device (hint, hint),..etc.
