| Can Your Startup Disk Read Your CD-ROM Drive? SUMMARY: If you have a Windows 95 emergency boot disk, you need to read this information.
When you make a startup or boot disk with Windows 95, you may forget to place the CD-ROM drivers on the disk. Without these drivers, your computer may not recognize a CD-ROM exists. Make sure to check for these drivers, and if they do not exist, manually copy them from your CD-ROM DOS drivers disks. See your CD-ROM documentation for more information.
After copying the drivers, try booting your computer from the startup disk. If the CD-ROM works, you're in good shape.
