Windows 95 and DOS Display

Double Your DOS Lines

SUMMARY: Double the display size of a Windows 95 DOS window.

To double the visible lines in a Windows 95 DOS window (if your monitor resolution is high enough), click on the DOS prompt's window icon (it is on the left-hand side of the title bar) and choose "Properties." On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, click the "Screen" tab. Next to "Initial Size," click on the pull-down. Choose 25, 43, or 50 lines as desired, and click the "OK" button to close the dialog box. You may need to close the DOS box and re-open it for the changes to take effect.
