| Hiding the Modem in Dial-Up Networking SUMMARY: Remove the modem icon from your Windows 95 taskbar.
Don't like seeing the little modem icon on your Windows 95 taskbar when running Dial-Up Networking? To hide the mode, first click on the "Start" button, choosing "Accessories," and then "Dial-Up Networking." Choose your Internet-connection icon, but right-click it instead of left clicking-it and choose "Properties." On the dialog box that follows, click "Configure..." Click the "Options" button on the multi-tabbed dialog box that follows. Under "Status Control," uncheck "Display modem status."
