Font Smoothing Tired of your onscreen fonts having a jagged look? Tired of the jagged look many webpages have? If you are running at least 65.536 colors (high-color), you can download an update from Microsoft that lets you smooth your onscreen fonts.
Just visit http://www.microsoft.com/typography/grayscal/smoother.htm to download the free font smoother. This feature will add a new tab to your display properties called "Plus!" You will have a checkbox option in the display properties to "Smooth edges of screen fonts."
Do you already have Microsoft Plus! installed? If so, just go to your Display properties and check the "smooth edges of screen fonts" box - you do not need to download this file.
Please note that this tip only works for Windows 95. Do not install this program with Windows 98 or NT 4.0 as those operating systems have font smoothing built in.
