Windows 95 Fonts - Use TrueType Only

SUMMARY: Why you should avoid using screen and printer fonts in Windows 95.

While there are many types of fonts available from which you may choose to use - printer fonts, screen fonts, etc., TrueType fonts look the same on the screen as they do on the printer. If you do not have a lot of screen and printer-specific fonts, you may want to just use TrueType fonts in your applications. To do so, click on the "Start" button, choosing "Settings" and then "Control Panel." On the window that appears, double-click the "Fonts" icon. Now, click on the "View" menu and choose "Options." On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, click on the "TrueType" tab. If you so desire, check the box labeled "Show only TrueType fonts in the programs on my computer" and press the "OK" button.
