SUMMARY: A registry edit that lets you rename the Windows 95 Recycle Bin to Trash Can or whatever.
Instead of editing the Recycle Bin's name through the registry, how about making it so that you can rename it through Explorer? It just takes one registry edit.
Run REGEDIT.EXE. Navigate to "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT -> CLSID - {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} -> Shell Folder." On the right pane of the Registry Editor, right-click on "Attributes" and choose "Modify." On the dialog box that appears, change the value to '50 01 00 20'. Click OK to close the dialog box.
Now, you can right-click on the "Recycle Bin" and access a "Rename" command!
