Remove Animated Help
SUMMARY: Windows 95 comes with many videos helpful for novices - but advanced users may want to remove these files.
Your Win95 system may have installed on it the Online User's Guide. This includes several megabytes of AVI movies which, although they are helpful for novices, serve very little purpose for intermediate and advanced users. To remove such movies, click on the "Start" button, choosing "Settings" and then "Control Panel." On the window that appears, double-click "Add/Remove Programs." On the multi-tabbed dialog box that follows, select the "Windows Setup" tab. Double-click "Accessories." On the dialog box that appears, scroll down to "Online User's Guide." If it is checked, uncheck it to save about 7.8 megabytes of hard drive room. Now, click "OK" twice to close the dialog boxes.
