Windows 95 and the Mouse

Mouse Moving Too Fast?

Does your mouse pointer tend to move too fast or too slow? Does it either fly across the screen with a gentle flick of the wrist, or does it seem to take extra work just for it to move from one icon to the next? You can change the speed that your pointer reacts to mouse movement, and here's how.

Click on the "Start" button, choosing "Settings" and then "Control Panel." Double-click "Mouse" on the window that appears. On the multi-tabbed dialog box that follows, select "Motion." You should see a slider next to "Cursor Speed" or "Cursor Speed and Acceleration" (the text may vary depending on your mouse driver). Move the slider to the left to slow down the mouse pointer and to the right to speed it up. When you are done, press "OK" to close the dialog box.
