Windows 95 Screensavers - Create a Scrolling "I'm Out!" Message

SUMMARY: Let your coworkers know you're away from your desk via a Windows 95 screensaver.

The scrolling marquee screensaver is great for letting people know that you'll be out for a specified amount of time. To setup this screensaver, right-click an empty area of the desktop, selecting "Properties." On the "Properties" multi-tabbed dialog box that follows, select the "Screen Saver" tab. Select "Scrolling Marquee" from the "Screen Saver" pulldown. Now, press the "Settings" button next to the pulldown. On the dialog box that follows, type in your message, such as "I'll be out until tomorrow. Please leave any messages on my voicemail." Choose your desired options and press "OK" to close the dialog box. You may want to check "Password protected" and define a screensaver password so the message stays onscreen. This way, an accidental bump of the mouse will not get rid of the message.
