SUMMARY: Remove the speaker icon and volume control from the Windows 95 taskbar.
Is the speaker icon on your taskbar and you would like to have it removed? Do the following. Right-click on the "Start" Menu. Choose "Settings", then "Control Panel." Double-click "Multimedia" in the "Control Panel" window that follows. In the "Multimedia Properties" multi-tabbed dialog box that follows, click on the box next to "Show volume control on the taskbar" so it is unchecked. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
