Windows 98 and Audio - Silence Error Sounds

SUMMARY: Prevent Windows 98 from beeping on errors.

Are you tired of hearing sounds whenever your computer makes an error - or when you make an error and the computer is alerting you to the fact? Install TweakUI (check other tips on MalekTips for more information on installing TweakUI) and enter the TweakUI control panel. On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, select the "General" tab. Uncheck "Beep on errors" and close the dialog box.
