Windows 98 Disk and File Management

Delete Files Immediately

SUMMARY: Bypass Windows 98's Recycle Bin and delete files now.

If you know that you really want to delete a specific file or group of files, just select the files, hold the SHIFT key down, and press the DEL key. If Windows 98 still prompts you to use the recycle bin, cancel the 'delete' and try again until Windows 98 prompts you to completely remove the files.

Since you are bypassing Windows 98's Recycle Bin using this tip, notet hat once files are gone, they are gone forever, unless you own a file recovery tool (and even then there are no guarantees!)
