Windows 98 Taskbar - Toolbar

Drag and Drop to Taskbar Toolbar Buttons

SUMMARY: Open documents quickly using software found in your Windows 98 quick-launch area of the taskbar.

If you want to open a file in Explorer, you know that double-clicking the file will launch its associated program. If, however, you have a webpage that you would like to open with Internet Explorer, and if Netscape is set up to be your default browser, then you would normally have to shift-right click the file, select "Open With," and find Internet Explorer. This is not the case with Windows 98. Just drag your document onto the "Internet Explorer" icon on your quick-lauch portion of the taskbar and IE will open up your document. This trick works with just about any toolbar button that you define.
