Removing Taskbar QuickLaunch Items

SUMMARY: Remove software, such as Internet Explorer, from the QuickLaunch area on your Windows 98 taskbar.

You can remove the default QuickLaunch items on the left-hand size of your Windows 98 taskbar, such as the Internet Explorer icon, the "Channels" icon, and such. Just right-click the section of the taskbar holding the QuickLaunch items, choose "Toolbars," then uncheck "QuickLaunch." If you just want to remove some of the icons, right-click on one you would like to remove and choose "Delete" from the popup menu.
