Windows 98 Taskbar - Toolbar
Shrink the Start Menu Icons
SUMMARY: Remove the Windows logo from the Windows 98 Start Menu.
The Windows 98 "Start" menu, by default, displays the Windows logo next to large icons of the main subgroups - "Programs," "Settings," "Find," and others. If you would rather not see the logo every time you click the Windows 98 Start menu, or if you'd rather make the icons smaller, then follow these steps:
1. First, right-click the taskbar in an empty spot (between the running programs and the small tray icons).
2. Select "Properties" from the cascading menu that appears.
3. On the multi-tabbed dialog box that next appears, check the option "Show small icons in Start menu" by clicking it.
4. Press "OK" to close the dialog box.
Return to the Windows 98 Taskbar - Toolbar page.
