Remove or Change the Shortcut Arrow
SUMMARY: Get rid of Windows 98 icon shortcut arrow with TweakUI.
Tired of the little arrow that appears next to your Windows 98 document or program shortcuts? Change the arrow or remove it altogether!
1. Access the Tweak UI Control Panel applet (if you do not have it installed, read the tip elsewhere in MalekTips).
2. On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, click on the "Explorer" tab.
3. Next to "Shortcut overlay," click on the radio button next to your desired shortcut arrow - e.g. if you want to use a custom shortcut arrow, click on the "Custom" radio button.
4. Click "OK".
