SUMMARY: View the Windows 98 Control Panel entries.
Do you have a lot of .CPL files (Control Panel extensions) in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory? Curious about what they can do for your Windows 98 system?
1. Access the Tweak UI Control Panel applet (if you do not have it installed, read the tip elsewhere in MalekTips).
2. On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, click on the "Control Panel" tab (you may need to click on the arrows next to the tabs to cycle through the tabbed windows).
3. Now, scroll through the list of Control Panel entries - most .CPL files are listed along with the files' descriptions.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Windows 98 - TweakUI - See The Control Panel (.CPL) Filenames
