Removing Spyware May Cause Software to Crash

SUMMARY: Be careful before removing registry changes and modules with Ad-Aware.

While Ad-Aware is supposed to mark spyware, adware, backdoor software, and other potentially meddlesome programs, note that by deleting certain processes or registry entries you may have software that fail to work afterwards! Some free software is supported by advertisements, so removing this part of their code may keep certain programs from running. You'll have to balance your desire to use such software against the potential privacy violations such programs may cause.
