Adobe Reader 7 - Change Default Multimedia Player

SUMMARY: Play multimedia files embedded in PDF documents with a different player.

When Adobe Reader 7.0 displays PDF files with embedded multimedia files, such as movies, by default it opens the standard Windows built-in player. However, you may have other installed players that you would rather use, such as QuickTime or the RealOne player. To use these players instead of the default:

1. Click "Edit" - "Preferences".
2. When the "Preferences" dialog box appears, click the "Multimedia" category.
3. Next to "Preferred Media Player", select your desired player from the pull-down.
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

Note that selecting a player that cannot view a multimedia file type in a particular PDF document may cause an error or the document to not display correctly.
