Adobe Reader 7

Search the Web

SUMMARY: Browse the web from within Adobe Reader 7.0 with Yahoo!

While viewing a PDF document in Adobe Reader 7, do you sometimes need to browse the web to research a particular topic covered in the PDF? Don't bother manually opening a web browser. Click the toolbar button that looks like "Y!" and a pair of binoculars, and a Yahoo! search pane will open up on the right side of Adobe Reader. From here, you can:

* Enter your search query underneath "What word or phrase would you like to search for?"

* Enter your search type, underneath "How precise would you like to make your search?" You can select:

- "Match Exact word or Phrase"
- "Match Any of the words"
- "Match All of the words"

* Click the "Search only in PDF files" to only look inside indexed Adobe documents on the web.

When you are finished entering your search criteria, click "Search the Internet". Your default web browser will automatically open, showing the results of your search via Yahoo!
