Adobe Reader 7

Speed Up Print Previews

SUMMARY: Running Adobe Reader 7 on a slow or low-RAM computer? This may speed up the appearance of the 'print' dialog box.

When printing documents with Adobe Reader 7, when you select "File" - "Print", a "Print" dialog will appear along with a preview of your PDF document. This way you can instantly see how changing your print settings will affect the hard copy.

If you have a slower computer or one with a small amount of RAM and need to print a complex PDF file, this on-screen preview may take some time to render. If you find the preview slow and/or annoying, you can disable it.

1. Click "Edit" - "Preferences".

2. When the "Preferences" dialog box appears, click the "General" link.

3. Uncheck "Enable print preview".

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
