Adobe Reader 7

Read This Document - Literally!

SUMMARY: Adobe Reader 7 can convert a PDF document's text to voice and read to you the document.

Adobe Reader 7 can read documents for you out loud. This opens up many great possibilities. For one thing, this is an excellent accessibility feature. Besides that, if you are a busy individual and just don't want to stare at a computer screen for a long period of time, you can have Adobe Reader speak aloud an important PDF while you are working on other items.

To have Adobe Reader read aloud a document, click the "View" menu, choose "Read Out Loud", and then select "Read This Page Only" or "Read to End of Document". When you are done, go back through the "View" menu and choose "Pause" or "Stop".

If you want to change how Adobe Reader speaks the current document, click "Edit", select "Preferences", then choose the "Reading" preferences. You can change the speech volume, attributes, the reading order, and more.
