SUMMARY: The AdViews collection from Duke University offers thousands of television commercials from the 1950s to the 1980s.
"No mid-morning letdown when you eat Grape Nuts flakes." "I blend over backwards for better mileage." "So for a happier vacation, protect your money with safe, dependable traveler's checks." And of course, "Please don't squeeze the Charmin!".
Looking for even more retro television commercials than what you can find on Retro Junk, or trying to find commercials from even earlier, back to the 1950s? AdViews, a digital collection from Duke University, offers an archive of thousands of vintage commercials from companies such as American Express, Birds Eye, IBM, Post Cereals, and Texaco.
You can even take a quick quiz on your television commercial knowledge. If TV dinners were a staple at your house, you should do fine <g>.
Note that while you can browse the collection in your browser, to view the commercials you must have iTunes installed. If you do not have this software you'll be provided an opportunity to download it.

So which commercials do you remember as a kid? As a video game nut, one I can remember - "Pac-Man Cereal".
