Digital Wildlife and Animal Photography - Avoid Flash

SUMMARY: Avoid flash with your digital camera whenever possible to keep animals from getting startled.

Try to avoid using your digital camera's flash when taking photographs of animals out in the wild. Not only is there a potential for red-eye, but also worse, your flash unit could startle an animal. Startled animals may either run away or attack. You should do everything as possible when taking digital photos of wildlife to be still, quiet, and non-threatening.
