Many digital cameras nowadays play sounds as audio confirmations to certain tasks, such as when focus lock is obtained, when a picture is deleted, or whenever one moves through the menus. While these sounds are normally fairly quiet, note that an animal's sense of hearing may be much more developed than ours, mainly to keep it away from roaming predators.
