Ask Search Engine - Limit Results to a Particular Domain

SUMMARY: Limit Ask.com search engine results to pages hosted on a particular domain.

There may be times you need to search a particular website for information but you may find it difficult to use the site's internal search engine. In these situations you can use Ask.com to perform search queries, limiting results to pages on a particular domain only.

Possible searches include:

eee pc on asus.com
new york on weather.gov
computer science on berkeley.edu

1. From Ask.com's front page click the "Advanced" link located beneath the search bar.

2. The "Advanced Search" page appears. Next to "all of the words" enter your search query.

3. Scroll down to "Domain" and enter the domain to which you wish to limit search results.


4. Click the "Advanced Search" button to perform your query.

If you need to modify your search on the results page, click the "Revise Advanced Search" link that appears to the right of the "Search" button.

NOTE that if you do not want to use the "Advanced Search" page, enter a query on the Ask.com main page in the following format:

QUERY site:DOMAIN

QUERY is your search query
DOMAIN is the domain to limit results

Examples:

eee pc site:asus.com
new york site:weather.gov
computer science site: berkeley.edu
