SUMMARY: Limit the Ask.com results to web pages recently modified by using its advanced search feature or a query modifier.
There may be situations when using the Ask search engine where searching for up-to-date information may prove useful or even critical. To perform these types of searches you can limit Ask.com's results to webpages modified within a particular time frame.
1. From Ask.com's front page click the "Advanced" link located beneath the search bar.
2. The "Advanced Search" page appears. Next to "all of the words" enter your search query.

3. Scroll down to "Page modified" and click the pull-down to choose from the following ranges:
* Anytime
* Last week
* Last 2 weeks
* Last month
* Last 3 months
* Last 6 months
* Last year
* Last 2 years
4. Click the "Advanced Search" button to perform your query.
If you need to modify your search on the results page, click the "Revise Advanced Search" link that appears to the right of the "Search" button.
NOTE that if you do not want to use the "Advanced Search" page, enter a query on the Ask.com main page in the following format:
QUERY last:RANGE
QUERY is your search query
RANGE is the date range, options are:
* week
* 2weeks
* month
* 3months
* 6months
* year
* 2years
Examples:
presidential election last:6months
automobile industry last:week
