Add AutoText Features to Other Applications
SUMMARY: Jitbit AutoText for Windows lets you create keystroke combinations that, when pressed, type larger blocks of commonly-entered text, saving you time.
Tired of entering the same text over and over again? Jitbit AutoText for Windows lets you enable the Microsoft Office-like AutoText feature for other applications. For example, if you write a lot of e-mails that end with "Best Regards", you can create a keystroke combination such as brg that, when typed, is automatically replaced with the aforementioned text.
Snippets can be organized into folders and subfolders; exported to a CSV, TXT, or XML file; imported from a CSV or XML file; and printed. Other options include changing the hotkey that toggles keyboard monitoring, requiring a separator key such as a spacebar or comma to enable the auto-replacements, and automatically running the application on Windows startup.
Jitbit AutoText runs on Windows NT 4.0SP4, Windows ME, and higher, and a trial can be downloaded from the following site. Note that the Microsoft .NET Framework is required.
