| Detect Other Types of Files SUMMARY: For more protection, use the AntiVir virus scanner to look for different types of files.
Besides detecting viruses, the AntiVir virus scanner can be set up to detect backdoor software, dialer software, "joke" programs, and more. Open up the AntiVir Guard (double-click the AntiVir taskbar icon) and choose Options - Configuration." On the multi-tabbed dialog box that follows, select the "Unwanted Programs" tab. From here, you can select other types of software for which AntiVir can search.
