AntiVir AntiVirus
Automatically Repair Files
SUMMARY: Have the AntiVir virus scanner try to repair virus-ridden files.
You can set up the AntiVir Personal Edition virus scanner to try to automatically repair virus-ridden files. To do so, open the AntiVir Guard (double-click the AntiVir taskbar icon) and choose "Options - Configuration". On the multi-tabbed dialog box that follows, select the tab "Repair". Now, check "Repair Automatically" and press "OK". On this screen, however, you may also want to check "Create backup before repair" to keep copies of virus-infected files in case they cannot be repaired with the current version of AntiVir (future versions may be able to repair more files).
