Camera Phone

Make Sure to Use Your Extra Memory if Available

SUMMARY: Just because you add memory to your phone doesn't mean it will automatically be used to store photos.Bookmark and Share

If your camera phone supports flash memory such as microSD (Micro Secure Digital), you may have purchased and installed such memory so you can take and keep more photos. Unfortunately, with many phones, the mere installation of such memory does not mean the phone will automatically use it to store your pictures. If you have installed memory but the phone still only allows you to store a couple dozen photos, you have run into this problem.

You may need to manually change your camera phone's save options so it stores pictures and/or movies to your card memory instead of the phone's internal memory. Instructions to do so vary by phone, but may be found in a "Save Options" or "Memory Options" section in your phone's settings.
