Google Chrome

Notepad for Google Chrome

SUMMARY: Add an easy-to-access notepad directly inside the Google Chrome web browser with Chromepad.

Ever need to jot down some text while browsing the web in Google Chrome? Perhaps you thought of something you need to pick up at the store, or maybe you saw a website you want to visit later, or what if you need to remember to run your I.M. client at a particular time to participate in an important chat?

The "Chromepad" extension for Google Chrome adds an icon to the right of the address bar that, when clicked, opens up an area where you can edit text. Some may find this easier than opening up the operating system default's notepad utility as they don't need to navigate to a dock, "Start" menu, or similar.

Example of using the "Chromepad" extension for Google Chrome

To install this extension:

1. From Google Chrome, visit the Chromepad page.

2. Click the "Install" button.

3. Click "Install" in the "Confirm Installation" dialog box when prompted.
