Add a History Button to the Toolbar
SUMMARY: Quickly access your website browsing history in Chrome by adding a History button to the toolbar.
By default, the Google Chrome toolbar has few buttons, with the design methodology placing functions inside the button menus or as keyboard shortcuts. Extensions have changed this, for example, offering a Downloads button in the Google Chrome toolbar. On a similar note, if you often access your website browsing history, there are several extensions to add a History button to the toolbar.
"History Button" is one such extension, acting as a one-click shortcut to your history if you don't want to press Ctrl + H or open a new tab and enter chrome://history/. To add this button:
1. From Google Chrome, visit the "History Button" extension page.
2. Click the "Install" button.
3. Click "Install" in the "Confirm Installation" dialog box when prompted.
Return to the Google Chrome page.
