CounterSpy - Run a PC Checkup

SUMMARY: Let CounterSpy scan your computer for possible vulnerability holes.

CounterSpy comes built-in with a "PC Checkup" tool where it can scan your computer for potentially unsafe security settings.

1. Double-click the CounterSpy icon in the Windows taskbar to open the software.

2. Select "View" - "System Tools" - "My PC Checkup".

3. Click the "Start" button and wait a minute or two. No changes will be made during the scan.

4. After the scan, CounterSpy will recommend changes for you to make. Note that if you see items underneath "(Items already changed below)", it means those potential fixes have previously been made and it is recommended to not change these settings back.

* You can click on a suggested change to read details.

* CounterSpy will default to making all suggested changes. If you do not wish a change to be made, perhaps because it might interfere with your computer use or because you believe the change is a false alarm, uncheck the desired change.

5. When you are done reviewing the changes to be made, click "Continue". CounterSpy will prompt you when the changes have been made.
